Viborg FF have confirmed that young striker Elliot Obiefule has signed a new three-year contract with the club on his 15th birthday, SuperEaglesNG.com reports.
The club published the news on its official website.
Obiefule plays as a forward and joined Viborg’s academy at Under-13 level after developing at partner clubs Ravnsbjerg IF and NUGF Viborg.
Viborg coaches rate him as a strong, talented attacker with sharp goal-scoring instincts and the ability to finish in different ways.
He has already received call-ups to training camps with the Danish Football Association, highlighting his rise as one of the standout young players in his age group.
Obiefule comes from a football family. His father, Paul Obiefule, played for Nigeria and spent two years at Viborg between 2004 and 2007, making 40 appearances.
Paul also featured in Nigeria’s squad for the 2006 Africa Cup of Nations. Elliot’s uncle, Obinna Obiefule, played as a striker for Mosta in Malta.
