Paul Onuachu transfer update takes another twist as Trabzonspor reject two offers from Saudi Arabian clubs for the Super Eagles striker and want him to stay – SuperEaglesNG.com reports.
According to Soccernet.ng, transfer insider Buchi Laba said Trabzonspor have no plans to sell the Nigerian forward this summer despite strong interest from Saudi Pro League clubs.
Onuachu enjoyed an outstanding 2025–26 season after joining Trabzonspor from Southampton. He scored 22 Turkish Super Lig goals to finish as the joint top scorer. He also scored in nine straight league matches, and one of his goals won the Goal of the Season award.
His impressive form has attracted interest from Saudi Arabia, with Al Ahli among the clubs keen to sign him before the new season.
Trabzonspor see Onuachu as an important part of their plans to challenge for the Turkish Super Lig title. The club have also made enquiries about another Nigerian striker and a Brazilian forward as backup options if he leaves later in the transfer window.
Onuachu remains under contract until 2028, giving Trabzonspor a strong position in any transfer talks. For now, the Super Eagles striker is staying at the club.
