Botev Plovdiv took control of the match against Beroe before Samuel Kalu doubled their lead in the 57th minute.
The former Super Eagles player received the ball before firing a shot from distance that left the crowd celebrating. His goal helped Botev complete a convincing win ahead of their opening league match.
Meanwhile, Nigerian striker Chidera Okoh also scored on his debut for the Bulgarian side. The forward found the net in the 82nd minute to complete the 4-0 victory.
Super Eagles Winger Samuel Kalu Prepares For New Season
Kalu has continued his European football career with Botev Plovdiv after previous spells with clubs including Bordeaux and Watford.
The new contract keeps the Nigerian winger at the Bulgarian club until 2030 as Botev prepare to begin their new campaign against Lokomotiv Sofia on Saturday.
Kalu has made 17 appearances for the Super Eagles and featured for Nigeria at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
