Samuel Chukwueze continued his strong pre-season form after scoring for AC Milan in a 7-0 training victory over the club’s youth team, while new manager Ruben Amorim tested the Super Eagles winger in a different position.
SuperEagles NG reports that the Nigeria international featured as Milan continued preparations for the 2026-27 season.
Amorim Tests Chukwueze In New Ac Milan Position
According to Italian outlet Milanisti Channel, cited by SuperEagles NG, Amorim lined up AC Milan in a 3-4-2-1 formation and used Chukwueze on the right side of midfield rather than in his usual attacking role.
The Portuguese coach wants the Super Eagles winger to cover the entire right flank. The role combines his attacking qualities with greater defensive responsibility.
Chukwueze started the second half and produced one of the standout moments of the match. He curled a left-footed effort beyond the goalkeeper to score AC Milan’s seventh goal.
Andrej Kostic, Lorenzo Ossola, Strahinja Pavlovic, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Youssouf Fofana and Francesco Camarda also found the net.
Super Eagles Winger Awaits Decision On AC Milan Future
Chukwueze returned to AC Milan after spending last season on loan at Fulham. The Premier League club chose not to make the move permanent.
Meanwhile, Amorim will continue to assess the Super Eagles winger during pre-season before making a decision on his plans for the 2026-27 campaign.
Chukwueze remains under contract with AC Milan until June 2028.
