Victor Osimhen has lost his place as the highest-paid player in Turkish football after Mohamed Salah reportedly agreed a €17 million net annual salary with Trabzonspor.
Salah’s deal puts him €2 million ahead of Osimhen, who earns a reported €15 million per year at Galatasaray after the club signed him permanently from Napoli in 2025.
Galatasaray paid €75 million for the Super Eagles striker, making Osimhen the most expensive signing in Turkish football. His reported salary also made him the league’s highest-paid player before Salah’s arrival.
Meanwhile, Salah joined Trabzonspor as a free agent after leaving Liverpool. His contract reportedly runs until 2028 and includes performance bonuses as well as a share of revenue from merchandise linked to his image.
At the reported rates, Salah earns about €326,923 per week, while Osimhen receives roughly €288,462.
Galatasaray also faced claims over Osimhen’s wages earlier in 2026, but vice-chairman Abdullah Kavukcu rejected the reports.
“We have no two-month debt to Osimhen,” Kavukcu said, according to reports.
Salah’s new contract gives him the highest reported salary in Turkey, while Osimhen remains on his existing €15 million annual deal at Galatasaray.
