Kelechi Iheanacho continued his scoring run for Bursaspor on Monday, scoring twice as the Turkish club came from behind to beat Manisa 2-1 away.
Manisa took control in the 20th minute when Cheikne Sylla opened the scoring at Manisa 19 Mayıs Stadium. Seven minutes later, Iheanacho restored parity and gave Bursaspor a route back into the match.
The Nigerian forward then completed the turnaround with a second goal. He carried the ball past several Manisa defenders near the penalty area before beating goalkeeper Vedat KarakuÅŸ with a low finish into the bottom corner.
Iheanacho’s second strike proved decisive as Bursaspor held on for three points. The victory also extended his scoring run to six successive matches at the start of the 2026/27 Turkish 1. Lig season.
His output has continued to grow since his summer move to Bursaspor. The former Celtic striker now has eight goals and two assists from his first six league appearances.
The latest performance also followed a match in which Bursaspor had to recover from an early setback. Iheanacho answered Manisa’s opening goal within seven minutes and then supplied the finish that gave his side the lead.
With six matches completed, Iheanacho has contributed directly to 10 Bursaspor goals through his scoring and assists. The Nigeria international has quickly become a central attacking figure for the Turkish club.
