Al Hilal have renewed their interest in Victor Osimhen as they consider replacing Karim Benzema, while Galatasaray have reportedly lowered their asking price for the Nigeria striker to €65m.
The Saudi Pro League club have made enquiries about Osimhen as they consider changes to their attack before the end of the summer transfer window. Galatasaray are now willing to consider a €65m fee for the Super Eagles striker, according to reports from Turkey cited by Super Eagles Nigeria.
The proposed move depends first on Al Hilal resolving Benzema’s situation. The Saudi club want to offload the former Real Madrid striker before completing a move for Osimhen, with his departure expected to create a place in the squad for another foreign player.
Osimhen has remained a major target for Al Hilal after previously turning down a move to Saudi Arabia. The Nigerian instead joined Galatasaray on loan in 2024 before making the move permanent in 2025.
Since joining the Turkish club, Osimhen has scored 59 goals and provided 16 assists in 74 appearances across all competitions, according to reports.
Galatasaray initially paid €75m to sign Osimhen from Napoli. However, the Turkish club have reportedly reduced their asking price to €65m amid Al Hilal’s interest. PUNCH reported that any transfer would still depend on Osimhen agreeing to move to Saudi Arabia.
Meanwhile, Napoli could receive €6.5m if Galatasaray sell Osimhen for €65m because of the 10 per cent sell-on clause included in the transfer agreement, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
Al Hilal therefore need to settle Benzema’s future before they can push the Osimhen deal forward. Galatasaray have also put a €65m figure on the striker, while Osimhen must decide whether he wants to leave Turkey for the Saudi Pro League.
